Our approach to managing workforce health and wellbeing can be broken down into 3 key areas:
Primary and Trauma Care
Managing illness and injury at the site is the primary function for our medics who are experts in their field and will utilise their skills, knowledge and training to effectively diagnose and treat patients accordingly. From first aid to more complex cases, with the support of our onshore Topside service, our medics will deliver first class care. The competence of our medics ensures that more cases can be handled at the site, reducing the need for costly medical evacuations.
Emergency Preparedness
Health and safety is a number one priority for all companies operating in the oil and gas industry with safeguards in place to ensure that the risk of injury or illness is reduced as low as is reasonably practicable. Although rare, emergencies still occur which is why all EMS Assist medics will take a proactive approach in preparing for such an event. This includes managing the clinic inventory, maintaining equipment, carrying out regular drills of emergency response plans and managing and training the first aid team who will be the first responders in a scene and will support in the event of mass casualty situations. Most importantly, EMS Assist medics are skilled and experienced in dealing with emergency situations.
